8 Technology Services requires minimum MacOS versions to increase district cybersecurity.  Periodically, an update will be required so all EASD staff members will have to update their Mac computers to the required version.

36 Before running the update, i**t's important to remember to restart your computer and connect to power before beginning the update. **

39 **To initiate the software update: **

41 * Click the **Apple** at the top left corner of the computer screen.
42 * Click **System Settings.**
43 * Click **Software Update Available.**
44 * Click **Update Tonight** or **Restart Now.**
45 * You will be prompted to **enter your district username and password.**
46 * The software update will begin immediately or run overnight depending on your choice and take approximately 10 minutes.
47 * The computer will restart when finished:
48 ** After the update and logging back in, click** Set up Apple Intelligence **OR **Set up later.**
49 ** Next, click** Continue **OR** Get Started **on the Welcome screen.
