30 Before running the update, i**t's important to remember to restart your computer and connect to power before initiating the update. **

33 **To initiate the software update: **

35 * Click the **Apple** at the top left corner of the computer screen.
36 * Click **System Settings.**
37 * Click **Software Update Available.**
38 * Click **Update Tonight** or **Restart Now.**
39 * You will be prompted to **enter your district username and password.**
40 * The software update will begin immediately or run overnight depending on your choice and take approximately 10 minutes.
41 * The computer will restart when finished:
42 ** After the update and logging back in, click** Set up Apple Intelligence **OR **Set up later.**
43 ** Next, click** Continue **OR** Get Started **on the Welcome screen.
