Purpose

Schoology is a Learning Management System (LMS) that serves as a central hub for K-12 education. It connects students in grades 4-12, teachers, and parents, facilitating communication and collaboration. Students benefit from improved organization, easy access to resources, and the ability to collaborate on projects. Teachers leverage Schoology to personalize learning through differentiated instruction and real-time progress tracking. It streamlines workflows, enhances communication with parents, and enables the creation of engaging learning experiences through interactive tools and multimedia integration, ultimately improving the overall teaching and learning process.

  • Schoology is used by teachers for instruction with students in grades 4 through 12.
  • Parents can create accounts to monitor student's assignments and grades.
  • Building administrators have courses or groups for the purpose of sharing building-level information and documents with their staff. Reach out to your building admin if you need access to their course/group.
  • Logging in: To log into Schoology, click login with Google and enter your district email address. Once in, click "Courses" and "Groups" at the top, and click on the course/group for your building.

PowerBuddy

Schoology PowerBuddy for Learning is an AI guide integrated into the Schoology Learning Management System, designed to assist both students and teachers, however, EASD has only enabled PowerBuddy for teachers. It streamlines content creation by generating assignments, discussions, and other instructional materials.

Schoology to Sapphire Grade Sync

Assignments are posted and graded in the Schoology gradebook and then grades are transferred to the Sapphire Student Information System through the Schoology Integration Wizard. Follow the steps at the link below to set up the grade sync:

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Clear browser cookies and cache if the site is not working as expected.
