Google Workspace for Education
Purpose
A suite of tools designed to increase teacher efficiency and enhance instruction. Students benefit from collaborative features, enabling them to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more, making learning more dynamic.
EASD uses GSuite for Education for our email, calendar, and file system. Staff and students will send and receive emails through the EASD Gmail system. Once you're signed in, you can easily access the Calendar and Google Drive by clicking the app grid (9 dots) at the top right near the blue Etown "E". Use Google Drive to create word processing files similar to Microsoft Word documents. Sharing files with others is easy through Google Drive. Click the "Share" button at the top right of any document and enter the email address for whom you'd like to share it.
Staff Email Groups: staff email address will be automatically added to district staff email groups. The email addresses are intended to share information to staff easily. If you find that you are not receiving emails sent out to staff email groups, please check with your building secretary for building-level emails or Technology Services for district support staff emails.

Login Information
- Login to Google with district login credentials provided by Technology Services.
- Staff Google 2SV: You will be required to set up 2 Step Verification for your district Google account within 2 days of signing in to your district account. This provides extra security to keep district emails and files safe from hackers. Follow these instructions showing how to set up 2SV: Tipsheet or Video tutorial (3:04min).

Troubleshooting Tips:
- Clear browser cookies and cache if the site is not working as expected.
- Log out and back in to the system and/or the computer to see if issues resolve.
- Open a support ticket through IncidentIQ for issues with Google apps.
