User Accounts
Elizabethtown Area School District technology accounts allows access to educational resources, communication platforms and online learning tools. The types of accounts are broken down below.
Staff
Staff members receive a district account, including a district Gmail account, to access student information systems, online grading platforms, professional development resources, and to access district-wide computers. Staff accounts ensure effective communication with colleagues, access to district copiers, and Google Drive file sharing.
Staff members should contact Technology Services for their district username and password.
Students
Every EASD student is issued a district technology account that allows them to log into district computers and access various software to which the district subscribes. It is understood that students agree to the EASD Appropriate Use of District Technology Policy 815 which states the terms for appropriate student use and also states that students will not share usernames and passwords to access district technology hardware or systems.
Students technology accounts are automatically created upon enrollment. Students should contact their teachers or counseling office to find out their district login credentials. Students in Bear Creek and the High and Middle Schools can stop by the Tech Office for their district credentials.
Usernames
Each EASD student receives a district username that is unique to them. Student usernames typically are comprised of the first name, middle initial and last name, for example, johhn_b_smith. This is not always the case since the username cannot exceed 18 characters in length. In that instance, the username is shortened by using on the first initial, middle initial and the last name, for example, j_b_smith.
Usernames vs. Email Addresses
Student email address are comprised of the student's username along with @etownstudents.org at the end.
- Username: john_b_smith
- Email address: john_b_smith@etownstudents.org
To log in to your student district email account, access through Clever SSO or open a new browser tab and enter mail.etownstudents.org into the address bar. Enter your district username and password to log in. Learn about Gmail in Google's Gmail cheat sheet.
