Adjust Chromebook Language and Display Settings:


Change Language back to English when you can’t read the language:

Click the lower right corner of the Chromebook to reveal the Settings menu.

Click the Settings Gear tool.

On the left navigation menu, click System preferences with the Information icon (second from bottom) and then click Languages in the center.

Click Change in Device Languages.

Using the search field, enter the preferred language. All languages will be filtered out except for the ones that match the one you entered in the search field.

Click on the language and then click Confirm and restart.

The Chromebook will restart and the language will be what you selected.


Adjust the Device Display Settings

Click the lower right corner of the Chromebook to reveal the Settings menu.

Click the Settings Gear tool.

Click Device in the left navigation menu and then click Display in the right center.

Use the slider to adjust the display and text size.

Zoom in or out on the display in two places:

In drop-down menu, found by clicking the 3 dots in URL bar. The Zoom setting is half way down. Click the + or - (plus or minus buttons) to adjust the Zoom or continue on down that menu and click Settings at the bottom

Click Appearance in the left navigation menu.

You’ll find Page Zoom at the bottom. Use the drop-down menu to select a different zoom.

Adjust the Font Size. Select the drop-down menu to select an alternate size. Medium is recommended.
