When external calls come in to the district from outside sources (parents, vendors, community members, etc.) and you want to return the call by tapping or pressing the redial button, it doesn't go through because there is not a "9" in front of the number, which is needed to call outside of the district. Phone numbers can be edited before redialing to add the 9 so the call connects successfully. View the instructions below showing how to add the 9 to the phone number without having to manually enter the whole number.
Classroom Phones:
- Access your call history and use the arrow keys to highlight the number that you want to call back.
- Press the Select button (round button inside the arrow keys).
- Press the Edit/Dial softkey just under the display.
- Use the left arrow key to move the cursor in front of the number and press the 9 key to add 9 in front of the phone number.
- Press the Dial softkey to initiate the call.
Admin Touchscreen Phones:
- Access your call history and find the number you want to call back.
- With your finger, press and hold on the phone number to reveal a menu of options.
- Press Edit before Calling.
- Tap in front of the phone number and enter a 9 using the number pad on the phone.
- Press Audio Call to initiate the call.
Wave for Desktop App:
- Access your call history and hover the cursor over the number you want to call back.
- Click the Grid icon on the right (hovering over it reveals "Edit before calling").
- The keypad will appear with the number at the top.
- Click in front of the phone number and click the 9 button or press 9 on your keyboard.
- Press the Call button to initiate the call.
Wave for Mobile App:
- Access your recent calls and find the number you want to call back.
- Press the menu icon on the right to expand your call options (appears below the number).
- Press the Grid icon and the keypad will appear with the phone number at the top.
- Tap in front of the phone number and tap the 9 button.
- Tap the Call button to initiate the phone call.
